450mL capacity · 13cm wide x 10cm high · 7.1cm bowl depth · Detachable 12cm silicone suction base · 0.08kg · Red
Two things go wrong when someone eats with one hand. The bowl slides away under the spoon, and the food slides away inside the bowl. The SectorCare Non Slip Scoop Bowl in red deals with both. A 12cm silicone base suctions to the table so the bowl holds its place against a push or a knock, and one side of the rim rises into a high inward curve that food gathers against, so the spoon lifts a full load instead of pushing peas around a flat dish.
The bowl takes 450mL across a 7.1cm depth, which covers porridge, soup, cereal or a dinner serve, inside a 13cm footprint that leaves room on a tray for a cup and cutlery. At 0.08kg it is light enough for anyone to move. The strong red also earns its place: against pale food and a light coloured table or tray it reads clearly, so the bowl and its contents are easy to pick out at a glance. The silicone base separates fully from the bowl, released by a small pull tab, so the two parts wash apart with nothing trapped between them. Food grade material throughout.
A high curved scoop rim, a detachable 12cm silicone suction base, 450mL capacity and a 0.08kg body make the SectorCare Non Slip Scoop Bowl in red a practical answer to one handed eating. Suited to homes, aged care, rehabilitation and supported living, and available GST free across Australia.
What does the high rim actually do?
One side of the bowl curves up and inward. Pushing the spoon against that wall lifts food onto the utensil instead of shunting it over the edge, which is what makes eating with one hand workable.
How much does it hold?
450 mL, at an internal depth of 7.1 cm. That suits porridge, soup, cereal or a standard dinner serve.
Which surfaces does the suction base grip?
Smooth, non porous surfaces such as laminate tables, sealed timber, glass and melamine trays. It will not grip cloth, textured placemats or bare unsealed wood.
How do you release it from the table?
There is a small pull tab on the edge of the base. A gentle lift breaks the suction, so the bowl comes free without force.
Does the base come off?
Yes, completely. The bowl and base separate so both can be cleaned individually.
Is the red version different from the other colours?
Only in appearance. The bowl, capacity, rim and suction base are identical. The stronger colour simply makes the bowl easier to pick out against pale food and light tables.
